Awww...poor George Costanza...he never had a chance! Then again, those cherubs did seem somewhat evil. Seems like he was screwed either way. Typical George.
Before anybody gives you any shit about the Ezekiel quote in Pulp Fiction, let me just say that IfIWereGod probably knows that Tarantino made up that passage of Ezekiel, at least the fictionalized words. But the truth is the same. That's the point. All fiction is true.
Yes, Q.T. jacked it up a bit -dramatic license. Given what a revelation that picture was and how it changed the way movies were made I think we should forgive a little quote-fudging there -it gave it more truthiness, as Colbert would say.

ReplyDeleteNot evil, righteous:
ReplyDelete"And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."
-Samuel L Jackson as Jules, Pulp Fiction
(which he borrowed from Ezekiel 25:17)
I agree. Chastisement is not evil. The Lord chastises whom He loves. All that.

ReplyDeleteI think repentance needs to be a bit more genuine. As if you could BS God.
ReplyDeleteLooked a little like repentance to me. I'd vote him down to Purgatory for a few thousand years, but not all the way down. I need mercy, too.
